Our Team
David is the Founder of Mesa Game Lab, and a Board Game Designer. Before making Mesa Game Lab a full time gig, he worked in the film and television industry since 2004 on both cartoon and live action visual effects including projects like Halo, Resident Evil, Wandavision, Watchmen, and What We Do In the Shadows.
David’s choice of career stems from his love for media and entertainment of all forms: film, television, video games, books, comics, music, and of course, board games. He has been an avid hobby tabletop gamer since 2012 and in 2017 began dipping his toes into board game design. In 2019, his first signed title Fossilis successfully funded on Kickstarter with just over $230,000 CAD and was published by Kids Table Board Gaming in 2020. Mesa Game Lab continues to grow and David hopes to keep helping other game creators bring their game designs to other peoples’ tables.
David lives in Oakville, Ontario with his wife and two sons.
